So, you’ve decided to run the relics in BLU farms.
Before you do, please note the following if you’re planning to be a BLU:
BLU dps with just the filler spells and song of torment is really bad.
Most of your damage comes from primal abilities or the new GCD spells. And of course, a massive chunk of your damage comes from moonflute, which lets you massively buff the dps of your spells as you unload all your primal abilities/your dot in exchange for not being able to act for 15 sec you would’ve spent spamming your low potency filler spell.
That’s how terrible the filler spells are. You’re basically playing a pet-less SMN or a healer if you don’t have anything beyond your filler and dot.
Alternatively, you can bring utility through the death spells/ultra vibration to mow down mobs. However, you’ll still be contributing very little to dps.
If you want to learn how to play blue mage, I cannot recommend checking out the Blue Academy channel enough. It’s got a ton of great if outdated resources, but even following what’s there from pre-5.45 is way better than just spamming un-Aetherial Mimickry’d abyssal transfixion.
Otherwise, please consider sticking to normal DPS jobs. You’ll almost certainly do more damage and make things go faster on MCH, DRG, or even DNC.
