Nomad Moogles in Selbina and Mhaura

After considering the continuing influx of new players, the changes made to the offer requirements for several quests, and the special task force's efforts in maintaining a fair and balanced playing environment, we have decided that the inclusion of nomad moogles and delivery NPCs in Selbina and Mhaura will prove to be a beneficial addition to the game.

Look forward to these new arrivals in the next version update!

Supply Quest Records

As you are no doubt aware, in order to make use of the regional teleport services, it is first necessary to complete a supply quest to the outpost in question. We will be implementing a change wherein along with your mission rank and conquest points, a record of completed supply quests will now be retained even after transferring your allegiance to another nation.

Item Autosort Function

This particular function has been requested many times by the community, and is scheduled to be implemented along with the various other adjustments introduced in recent Topics.

As well as the difficulties encountered in preventing potential misuse, we have avoided the implementation of this function in the past in order to prevent confusion for crafters—items carefully separated for synthesis would have been forcibly stacked.

However, with the same consideration given to the placement of nomad moogles in Selbina and Mhaura, we believe that the current stability of FINAL FANTASY XI allows for this feature to be introduced without adversely affecting gameplay.

Players will be provided with the option to deactivate

Question: would this actually confuse anyone? I mean, granted I'm not a crazy crafter, but what crafting I do, stacking items would never be a problem for me. In fact make my life a little faster to crank out more synths without having to sort to stack them. Anyone actually find this a problem? Or is this just BS out of SE like I think?

On the bright side, we'll be more easily 100% Taj Free. This would eliminate most the need for Light Luggage :)

Actually... (warning: conspiracy theory) with the whole "out of court" settlement with a "hacker who got accounts" and then the sudden wave of unusually useful changes, it makes me wonder... could the settlement have been to compensate damages by way of company service?

What?

SE was the plaintiff in the suit. They don't have to compensate anyone.

I always assumed the reason that they didn't implement autosort was that RMT would be able to use it to more easily bot fishing or harvesting or something. But now that there's plugins that do it anyway, plus now that RMT just steal accounts to make money (^^;;; ), that's not an issue anymore. I think SE might not be quite as clueless about their game as they let on - not quite.

Yeah, because letting the wolf manage the henhouse is always a great idea.
When you can keep on an eye on the wolf all of the time and he is acctully doing good things it is a great idea. Not that SE really has any good ideas much less great ideas.

I agree. I just don't see a correlation between hiring a security or programming consultant and implementing game features. It would make sense if all of these changes were revolutionary changes to the game mechanics, but they aren't. This is all stuff they could have added years ago and just said they wouldn't/weren't going to.

Let alone the fact that SE is a Japanese company. I'm sure there are plenty of Japanese FFXI hackers we never hear about that they would go after first.

Well if that's the case, im going to go hire a child molester to be my maid, just so I can watch him around the kids to be sure he isn't up to any nonsense.

no i don't have any kids, fuck you

Guess what Soj. The goverment has been doing it for years with hackers and getting them to work for them. I know the logic is messed up but that is the way it is.

NEWS FLASH: Government hires hackers to keep an eye on them, and they continue to hack! This story and more, when people pull their heads out of their asses.

Guess what Heie. CHICKEN BUTT.

I never said you were wrong. I watch movies (HACK THE GIBSON DOODZ) and the news too, so yeah. I just like thinking of situations that have the same principles but have a different twist to them.

Here's some more logic for you

I read it as the idea that SE got the programming services of Taj.

Onorok: 1 Eticket: 0

And the logic behind it is the old adage to keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. If someone was so good that they hacked you and pulled off all kinds of stunts, that's someone whose skills you want on your side, and try to buy them out.

This made me laugh my ass off in the worst way. A real comparison to hiring a child molester to hiring a hacker would be like... he was so goddamn good at screwing kids, you hired him to be in your own porn flick. I'm such a terrible person but... can't... stop ... laughing...

I'm just going to put this out there. I think that it is just a coincidence that the possible Taj news came shortly before these changes were scheduled. These are very minor changes (albeit useful ones) that I would have to think would require only very mediocre programing skill considering that this is SE's game and these are SE's programmers. I know it's fun to talk about how stupid and clueless they are, but I don't think they are that dumb. I'd also like to point out that they have had this figured out for a while since when you acquire Imperial Currency, it already auto-sorts.

I think you give Taj far too much credit.

word, i don't believe they got it of taj either.
