Ya I'm getting the same POL error also. Was playing fine about 30 mins ago until FFXI dropped my connection.

My mule PC dropped connection sometime since 5pm ET & getting the same error now. Can't get in atm.

Seems it's every Comcast POL user in the US

i had similar problems with verizon like 2 years ago.. well i was able to login.. just every 5 mins exactly I got d/c'd from POL.. was really freakin annoying. but i kept logging on <.<

was on a weekend too so no fixy for days.

hate verizon so much haha, for that and more. frequent service downtime, then I went ahead and got their cell phone service, which was another bad decision.. it never ends.
