We have received numerous reports where a player charmed by Notorious Monster "Pallas" was being attacked by other players in the area for the purpose to steal the claim. This issue was causing conflicts among the players. As a temporary solution, the following update was performed.

It was cool that you could get charmed, the crappy part was the RMT standing there to take it from you when you did. It would have been nice if SE had taken a stronger stance against RMT from the get go. They could have made such a huge difference but chose to do nothing for the longest time. That really hurt their subs and their bottom line.
 
i'm sad. I used to kill charmed players not so i could steal pallas, but so i could say I killed them. This is a sad day for ffxi.
