I think many players like myself would like to change their race/gender just for fun for a while and change back to their "main" appearance.
But the price of fantasia makes this prohibitively expensive. So players may plan to buy 1 or 2 fantasias in their entire career, only when they intent to make a permanent change to race/gender.
A "permanent" fantasia for $100 or something would meet this demand and probably increase fantasia revenue from shrewd players.
