Not a rant, graphics card ?

I currently have a nvidia 7300 gs (pci-e) and want to upgrade. What should I be looking for?

Is there a difference between pci-e and pci-e 2.0, other than speed? Would I even be able to use one w/o upgrading mother board?
If not, any suggestions?

Edit: I've been thinking.. should I just build a new computer? I'm still using regular ddr memmory :-/

i've actually been thinking of doing the same.. my loldell is at its max potential right now, but alas, need a new car first.. priorities..
 
I use radeon hd 3850 1gig, and I just upgraded whole pc as well it was a huge reason why I was gone from game lol, in total it cost about $650 for card, 3.16 core 2 duo, 2gig ram, the motherboard, cd/dvd rom/burner, hard drive. I saved cuz I didnt need Windows os, or a new monitor. 650 is not a bad price for a pc that will last the better part of 5 years though. I could have easily downgraded to a cheaper vid card and smaller HD as well as a cheaper mother board but I built one that I should be able to toss in several add ons I most likely could have spent 500 and been very happy.

Card itself is 120 or so I believe, and the 512 is about 90
 
Dude, those memory read error problems are so sweeping it could be anything. RAM issue, installation issue, exe file specific, power issue, hard drive problem.

Start out be reinstalling windower and the playonline viewer.
