A few months ago I got my friend FFXIV and a subscription.
They've never played an MMO and this was their first time playing a Final Fantasy game (they've only watched the other games because they couldn't afford games).
This past weekend they finally finished ARR and are now starting Heavensward. They didn't expect the game's story to hit them as hard at the end of ARR because of the expansion's terrible slow start. Then a few days ago they didn't log on for a day at our usual time. I found out they spent the day sketching/drawing the characters that really left an impression on them.
They only draw in pencil because they don't have access or the funds for something like Photoshop to fully lineart or colort. Anyways, since they don't want to be spoiled, they wanted me to share with everyone some sketches they made that day that helped them get out of a drawing funk.
Most importantly, they hope that these few sketches express their newfound love of FFXIV with everyone and look forward to where this story ends up. Enjoy.
