FFXIV is suffering from lacking of midcore content and IMHO I see most players are casuals to midcore content, casuals are fine they got at least something even if it is not satisfying, but midcore content is so lacking.
I have been thinking of midcore content that is fun, unique and repeatable.
the idea:
A mega dungeon, 3 parties each party 4 players: Tank, Healer and 2 DPS = 12 man dungeon.
dungeon duration: 40 to 1 hour.
each dungeon has 3 main encounters (bosses), and trash mobs in the way
Theme: restoration, like Ishgard restoration, and others like Mahigans, Eorzea, Toral, exc.
reimagining old restoration dungeons to fit to 3 parties.
mechanic:
Starting the dungeon it will grant each player to select one of 3 buffs and buffs are randomized. you select one of them.
buffs will be an additional buff to current skills and some of them are buffs to specific skill and nerf to other skill, make it unique to play class with X buff instead of Y buff.
you can have 4 buffs max, 1 starting the dungeon and 3 before each encounter (boss).
Rewards:
Shards, each 15 shard will let you create a relic weapon, weapon will have extra effect that make job more unique with that weapons.
Gear that is specific to each job or at least it will look different between different jobs within the role.
Chocobo, extra talent point that will allow you to choose class for the chocobos, just imagine Samurai chocobo

extra cosmetics like usual.
