Musings on PT 80+ and player accountability

Honestly, maybe even 70+. I think that making it accessible towards all sorts of players is great - after all, that group does include me, and it made me want to do all the deep dungeons.

However, I think 80+ but especially 90+ should probably have stayed relegated to Party Finder. Obviously, if blacklist actually prevented you from getting DF matched to someone, that could be abused, but I genuinely think that making it Party Finder and being able to blacklist bad actors would've made this a lot less arduous.

I have wiped as the last one alive on floor 91 on four different occasions. Each time, I have asked people if there is anyone new to the floorset, have explained mechanics in advance, and so on. Each time, people pulled a bunch of nonsense, died to their own ineptitude and left me to try and figure out how to survive it.

[But 0blivion! What if they don't speak English? I have explained it in nearly all DF languages at this point, thank you very much.]

When I deliberately don't engage the enemy so I can raise people after, I usually falter eventually because the war of attrition is wearing me down. That's a skill issue on my part, and I'm aware that it is.

When I try to support the party from a safe location, it ends up with someone pulling something that can shoot through walls, and either I die or everyone else dies and I get the aggro because I fought alongside them. It's pointless.

Because you can DF this content, there's less PF listings than there normally would be. I get it, accessibility, but there needs to be a way to avoid these people...

...And I know there won't be, so this is just me whining. Anyway, I think I'll do gacha dailies while waiting for PF to fill.

(Then again, the last time I made a PF people joined on the roles I had selected in the PF and then swapped upon joining, but at least I can block those guys...)
