World name: Lamia
Party or solo: Party. Joined via PF. Leader is neither myself, nor the blocked character.
Steps:
1. Add a character to your blacklist
2. Join a Party Finder started by someone other than yourself, or the blacklisted party
3. Blacklisted character joins the same Party Finder
4. Blacklisted character writes in party chat
"Messages from a blacklisted character will not be displayed. Their character model will also be hidden"
This text is from the Social -> Blacklist menu. This is what I would expect to see happen, and is what happens when I am not partied with that character.
However, when partied, it's like the game goes out of its way to let me know that character is there.
If I am already in party, and they join, I get a notification letting me know someone I blacklisted joined.
If they post in party chat, this is what I see:
(Unknown 01@[ServerName]) (This message is from a blacklisted character.)
Right clicking on that gives me the option to temporarily display messages.
I understand the need to be aware of their presence in a party, and to have their character model show up (if, say, I'm a healer and will need to pay attention to them). But if I blacklisted them, I want to see as little of them as possible, not have the game remind me "hey they're partied with you" every 2-3 seconds.
Yes, this is an edge case. And I always have the option of making my own party. But if I'm on my way to an S rank, and am a bit late, trying to get my own party going likely means reduced credit and awards. Also, in the above example scenario, the entire thing ends in 5-6 minutes. Not worth the effort, especially in light of the risk.
I looked in all menus I could think of, maybe there was an option to disable it, but I didn't find anything. I think making it an option, rather than leaving it there period or removing it outright, would be a good solution.
