Alas, the day of luck has ended.
But what makes it a lucky day?
Earlier in the day ash had a Hauberk +1 crafted for him, and later, Aluciont synthed (no, not broke!) his first Aristocrats coat for me.
I even moved up an assault rank.
So of course, I decide to continue my luck with getting the other pirate NM club.
Pirates finally attack after hours of boat trips, but no NM. And a few hours further, they finally attack again and a NM pirate ship attacks! I buff, and wait for Blackbeard, but he doesn't appear. A ship wight has though, and I remember reading something about a ship wight being a placeholder. So I kill the ship wight, and wait further, another ship wight appears.
Finally on the fifth set of spawns, he appears! I claim, and for the entire fight I was bombarded with japanese death threats from a lone WHM/BLM that couldn't have solo'd it anyways. I'm tired, so I just add them to my blacklist, which I never use. Soon after I start getting tells from what I can assume to be their friends, unfriendly in nature.
Whatever, I just want to kill this thing and go to bed.
So I do, barely.
I forgot shihei, so I had to live off 12. I forgot virtue stones, and for some reason I decided to switch from my purdence rod and lost 90% TP. I go to cast flash, but I don't have MP. After I buffed, I forgot to rest. I look for benediction, but it's not available for 15 minutes. I skim through my inventory and live off Hi-potion +2's from assaults a while back until I can get enough TP to use hexa strike and finally finish him off. I see the treasure box icon appear, and my heart skips a beat, could it finally be! The other club! It's been months!

It's a bone chip.
Fuck.
And While I was looking in the treasure pool, I didn't even notice that a Sea Horror popped behind me. I had to kite it around that navigation room thing, with random tells from angry japanese people, and some jerk ass WHM/BLM occasionally stepping in my path, in red HP. We finally dock, and I just log.
This was about 10~15 minutes ago, and yeah, I know, it's not the same day anymore, so lucky day must be over.
This could be the beginning to what could be officially marked "Unlucky Day," so just a heads up.
