I'm still fairly new and I'm having a hard time understanding the lore. I've been playing for about a month and a half, I'm currently working through the level 60 quests after completing the Heavensward MSQ's. I've recently started encountering the Warriors of Darkness, but can't understand what they're talking about. I'm not sure if I missed something, and trying to research hasn't helped me.
So I understand the stuff with Hydaelyn and Zodiark and Hydaelyn making the 13 reflections with splinters of herself to create the 13 reflections. Or 10 and 3 reflections, they keep saying it that way and I'm not sure what they mean. I understand that each of these reflections are other worlds, and when they're rejoined, they cause problems on our world 'the source' and destroy their world. I understand that 7 of these worlds were destroyed already because she said 7 times she failed... So there are 6 worlds left. I met the Warriors of Darkness who explained that they're from world 1, and they won, but because they won, their world is being destroyed by the light. Then there's the 13th reflection with is now the void where the voidsent are coming from.
Does that mean that Hydaelyn won in world 1, and now it can't be rejoined? If world 13 is now the void, does that mean the Asceans won? But then why wasn't it rejoined? Or is that what happens when the world is rejoined? What caused the rejoining of the other 7 times that she lost? Why is Hydaelyn killing everyone in the first world? What's going on with the remaining 4 reflections? I'm not sure what I'm supposed to know and understand already, and what will be explained later one. All I know is I have no clue what these Warriors of Darkness are talking about.
