I’ve been playing my SMN for a while now. I mainly play duty roulette style. Somehow I made it all the way to Lv 80 before I did a little research and realized my casting rotation was completely inefficient. I watched some vids, learned from others, and made some adjustments. Tonight I was shocked at how much more ass my SMN kicks now.
My advice to anyone just starting out ...
1) Have fun and enjoy yourself! FF XIV is first and foremost a game. 2) Take the time to invest in your role. Learn about their nuances from Reddit, Discord, etc. and educate yourself on how you can be the best [insert job] you can be!
This may be the most obvious thing most of you have ever read, but as a semi-casual player these are realizations I wish I would’ve had months ago.
