Sometimes, not every time, but sometimes, when I've been mounting up and flying away, I've caught myself thinking, "Huh. It feels like I'm flying really slow? Why does it feel like that?" Then I hit the toggle walk/run and slow down to walking speed, and hit it again to speed back up to full speed, and fly away. Most times I'm not paying close attention, so I'm thinking "Huh, that was weird. Guess I'm crazy!" This has been happening to me at least since DT launch.
Today it happened and I happened to be both flying very close to the ground and had someone else next to me, and finally I saw it... I'm not crazy. When I took off on my flying mount, I appeared to be stuck in normal mount ground speed rather than the full flying speed. Toggling walk/run slowed me down to walk speed, and then doing it again set me back up to the appropriate full flying speed.
I mentioned it to some FC-mates and other friends, and the overwhelming reaction I got was "OH MY GOD THAT'S BEEN HAPPENING TO ME AND I THOUGHT I WAS JUST CRAZY/DOING SOMETHING WRONG"
So I'm here to say... It's not just you, and if it happens to you, please submit a bug report in-game using System > Support Desk >Contact Us > Report a Bug so they can figure out whatever's causing it.
