I've bought a few 70-80 levekits this expansion because I'm lazy, and I've never paid less than 2.25 million gil for one. Until today I realized that the levequests accept vendor gear. So I bought vendor gear and used that to get my LTW from 74-80. It took 30ish leves, but only a little less than 1 million.
So if you're considering buying a levekit and you've got a lot of levequests, just buy the vendor gear and do it yourself for less gil, but more leve allowances.
