The way it's framed, if you retire your race chocobo to breed it, it goes away and I'm hearing that it gets sad about it?
I got my first one to rank 50 intending to start a whole chocobo dynasty. I even bought a grade 9 cover for her even though it wouldn't matter for the baby's pedigree, because my chocobo don't want no scrubs (a scrub is a guy who can't get no love from her).
I realize it's stupid but it I'm so sad to think "Good job, you won that last race and got rank 50, but now you're past your racing prime and I don't want you anymore. Make me a better version of you, then shoo!"
...I don't have the heart for it. I'm weak.
