I'd even go as far as saying that while I enjoyed Stormblood more than most, Bozja is how good it could have been as far as fighting the Empire itself goes.
I was already kinda sold on Save the Queen since the first chapter. I thought the idea of being able to enter memories and physically help through a character's trauma in order to dive deeper into their most repressed memories to be such a cool setup. The final fight was also really well done and really put everyone together against a common foe.
But Bozja gets even better, which is even more surprising to me considering that the previous relics weren't anything special storywise. There was a great story progression, great characters introduced, a strong setup with an interesting payoff that is well integrated in the relic instance itself. Everything that was built into Ivalice itself seems to pay off big time here, which is great because it integrates itself further into the world of FFXIV. I especially appreciate the field record, giving more info and lore about characters. It's like they gave the full package to the story this time. Hell, I think it's weirdly better realized than MSQ patches that aren't X.3.
Matsuno was always a great writer, he made Final Fantasy Tactics after all, but his writing chops really shines here, so I am really looking forward to what happens next, which is the first time I ever expected something out of a relic's next step. Hell, I'm kinda hoping they get to do more in the future, maybe be involved in the MSQ if 6.0 happens to bring the fight to Garlemald? Political conflicts is his field of expertise after all, might as well call the right man for the job.
