Even just the first scenes of the expansion were way above their previous work.
An example would be having your character look at something not in front of them. The eyes would barely move within the head.
In ARR, they would turn their whole head or body to look at it.
In HW, they would turn their head and eyes to look at it.
SB, they used far more emotive expressions than usual. Gone are the dead stares for our WoL in every situation.
And now, not only does the WoL move their heads and eyes in all directions, but our entire body moves in various motions not associated with a given emote. We don’t walk in a standard way, and we hold our head whilst wincing.
Truly next level animation.
EDIT - yeah i have no idea why this is being so heavily downvoted, for giving well deserved praise to the animators...
