Because that is just spamming.
Recruiting is where you speak to someone first, introduce yourself and your Free Company and then ask if the player would LIKE to join.
All before even giving them an invitation.
Because speaking to them and asking them if they even like your Free Company, much less if they want to join, makes both parties aware of what the other offers.
Spamming someone who happens to not be in a Free Company (sprout or simply not in a FC) is just that, spamming with no regard for anything. Quality over quantity. Few GOOD members are much better than a horde of trolls.
