Hey!
I'm playing FF14 since a few months, and I noticed something: when you start a new job (new as in "released in an expansion"), you get some very good gear. For example, the Gunblade job gets a really high level gear right away when starting (around 256 gear rating).
My problem is when you level a job that comes from a base class (such as Elementalist -> White Mage), the gear you get thanks to the level 60 job quest is very meh compared to the other (around 140 gear rating).
My question is, is there any way to catch up with the gear level (except by choosing rewards for the desired job when doing the lvl 60+ quests with another job)? Killing lvl 60 mobs with my white mage is slow to the point that it takes more than 1 minute, and it doesn't make me want to continue playing it for the MSQ.
Cheers!
