 | I am of the opinion that the bastion job should be (unofficially) referred to as a gunnshildr (or gunnshieldr). As I'm sure many already know, Guns in FFIXV (and IRL) trace their name back to Gunnhildr - in game that's queen gunnhildr, IRL it's the old norse name Gunnhildr. Irl: guns were likely named after the domina gunilda, a 14th century ballista, whose name in turn can be traced back to the name gunnhildr. In game: gunblades predate guns in game, and were derived from the gunnhildr's blades (who wielded them), and guns were in turn named after the gunblades.
