So ive been a final fantasy fan nearly all my life. Started with original 7 and have played mostly all of them since and loved them. The mmo style of 14 though was a bit too different for me to jump in right away. I tried it many years ago on console and just didn't get sucked in. Tried it again maybe 1 year ago on pc since I recently got a gaming one and it was better but just didn't stick for some reason. I played the one with the bow and arrow bc i loved range. However it just felt a bit tedious. Fast forward to literally today and I just sat down, plopped some youtube on a second monitor and told myself I'm gonna give this a real shot by playing for a couple hours. I picked a thaumaturgy I think its called (black mage I assume) and honestly the combat is very fun. Right now I only have a handful of spells but I really like the constant switching of the fire and ice power up thing. It makes it a bit more interesting rather than simply spamming. Anyway I'm now like level 7, just finished the first duty mission and before I kept going I wanted to know the ins and outs of the game. Are there stuff I should know? I literally just read about a reshade and im doing some research on that now. Other than that, is there anything else for QoL or just some cool things to know while playing? I dont have any friends to play this with so I'm probably gonna be solo, will this be a problem in later missions and dungeons? I know theres something like a matchmaking but will it hinder me if I am not communicating with others? Anything is appreciated, thanks for indulging me!
