Greetings everybody!
To comply with site rules I'm not going to post any names but if you want to follow the evidence to make your own judgement then by all means do so. Note: This is NOT to witch-hunt but to raise awareness on the matter.
Background context: So about a month ago my FC were discussing a post made by another Reddit user in regards to the Louisoix marketboards having some suspicious activity specifically on Neo-Ishgardian undercutting bots and that sparked a conversation in regards to another 'player' who seems to have his name plastered on so many Neo-Ishgardian gear pieces that we decided to do some digging! We found that they were pretty much 24/7 online! At first I thought it was just a dedicated player, no harm there, until we looked at their stats (see image below)
We believe this to be their main account (All Doh/DoL at 80 with only Warrior at 80)
Then we noticed another player was following them around, in near perfect rhythm (flying paths, gathering actions, ground movement...etc.) it was pretty robotic.
To our surprise yet again, same FC and... you guessed it, exactly the same stats however this individual puts their status on Busy and remains on busy no matter what (see image below)
All DoH & DoL to 80 except Fisher with only Warrior at 80)
What they are doing & why it affects the server:
To put it simply, they're gathering bots. They go around all of the timed Legendary & Ephemeral nodes! For players who don't know, these nodes are on a set Eorzean timer that are only up for a few in-game hours per day, most of the materials from these nodes are used in crafting end game DoW/DoM Neo-Ishgardian gear, DoL/DoH end game Facet Crafting & Gathering gear, Raid potions...etc.
The real user can then come online, pick up all the gathered items from the bots, craft the gear, sell it on the marketboard which he sells by like 20-30k+ lower than the lowest seller (in some instances his retainers actually undercut themselves by this much, it's quite funny)
As you can see he has undercut the seller by 30k but on other items he does it by more!
These prices would then keep dropping because everybody wants to sell their crafts fast, it's common in the marketboards but they continue to undercut until it isn't worth anything therefore crashing the market. This then makes crafters not want to make this gear because they see this person/bot constantly undercutting them by these amounts or more.
Important Note: After looking into their FC more using the FC search site, they have about 8 members total who all have names in regards to main cities. (Limsa, Ul Dah, Gridania) - My guess is they're accounts they transfer gil to players with in those specific cities as not to arouse suspicion? or just throwaway accounts. As for the other members, they're all levelling Warrior in preparation.
And what does this player do with all the gil they make? Real Money Transactions (They go to shady sites and sells gil to people for real money)
Proof? (Eorzean Time) Note: The 'busy' bot uses a Black Chocobo as a mount and the online bot uses Twintania
Below are some of his more suspicious rotations at specific times of the day. While not 100% accurate, if you want to judge it yourself they should be here at these times. Watch their movement specifically (full rotation is listed can be found at https://imgur.com/a/VnVXWUi )
I apologise for how long this post it, it's mainly to raise awareness among Gatherers/Crafters & servers as a whole that these bots are around and should be dealt with by Square Enix.
Don't be like this person, don't use a bot to do your gathering and DON'T undercut hardworking people that do their stuff legit.

- 5:50am - Rak'Tika (29,24) Sweet Marjoram - When they respawn the Ephemeral node they will always dismount in the air about halfway up a tree, never on the ground.
- 8:00am -Il Mheg (36,27) - Merbau Log - When they fly to the location they will drop down next to the node. Pop sprint about 2ft away and run to the node (nobody would do this)
- 12:30pm - Lakeland (25,29) - Bog Sage - Bots will turn 90 degrees when interacting with specific nodes to respawn the Ephemeral
- 5:20pm - The Tempest - Both players stand at Macaranses Angle aetheryte until 6:05pm when they start moving again towards the next node
- 6:00pm - The Tempest (34,31) - Purple Shell Chips - when they land they will pop sprint again about 2ft away.
