I'm gonna start putting about as much effort into my forum posts as CBU3 puts into game design.
In other words this is just a copy pasted text from a chat I had with my friend on discord, the starting point being Deep Dungeons being dead content dedicated to discord groups instead of being functional in the game itself.
----
i mean, that is an issue with a few types of content
you need discord or dedicated linkshells at least for hunts, because hunts are random elite mobs spawning in the world and you dont really find people for it
you can try to solo mobs you find yourself, but then you get yelled at by randoms for killing something they were creating a dedicated group for
because all hunts are is that you join a train group and go from one mob to another and kill them all in succession
which by itself is kinda bringing structure to content that shouldnt have it and turning it away from casual fun to hardcore grind
i would much appreciated if hunts were toned down in difficulty and made personal content, so you just go out and search for mobs alone and have it be a solo challenge you can do whenever
for world bosses it makes more sense, they spawn randomly and need a lot of people to kill them
astralogos is a pvp content meant to simulate mobas... kinda, not really, but it was never put into a frontline roll, its something you need to queue into yourself, and people dont do it
it was turned into dedicated discord group content where they established a specific day and time where they start queing into it, which once again brings something that casual people could enjoy into a dedicated content for people integrated into the community
the easy fix is to create a roulette or group it with frontlines, because vast majority of casual people only look at roulettes and ignore every other tab in duty finder
but square enix is not exactly... smart
if you randomly mention astralogos, most people will just respond with... whats that?
you need to deliberately open duty finder, go to the pvp tab, and go through all of the options in there
which is quite an issue with the game overall, a lot of the content is expected for you to find by reading patch notes... which again, most people dont read patch notes
there should be an ingame catalogue that lists every single content in the game and how to unlock it and stuff....
i might just write that as my next forum post xD

And my friend responses:
> yeah, I did get a death threat for killing a hunt target
> (response to astralogos) yeah... what's that? xD
