For the Scholars! (and /sch)

Die Recently?
(and the dumbasses, HI SOJ)

What's is the worst part about sublimation?

The recast? Na.
The waiting? Na.
Not knowing how much god damn MP is currently stored? OH RIGHT!

A small counter shows on screen approximately how much MP is currently stored, turns blue when it hits a certain point indicating 'full mp'.

Basically I created a windower script that keeps track of how much mp is in sublimation. This is not a plugin, this is not accurate, this is not smart in any way shape or form. This does work, and pretty well.

Make sure you follow my installation instructions step by step!

This is a bit complex, so please bear with me. It is well worth it.

Requirements:
Windower 3.4
Text Plugin
A Brain

Installation:

Close FFXI Entirely.

Download the 'text' plugin from the website, place it in your windower plugins folder.

Open up your windower 'scripts' folder.
Create a folder called 'sublcounter' (lower case 'L', the folder name matters!)
Extract contents of zip file (link below) into the new folder (or drag and drop them into that folder)

In your windower 'scripts' folder open up 'init.txt' scroll down to the bottom and add:

load text
exec sublcounter/subl.txt

(What this does is load up the 'text' plugin by default, and then load up the counter)

In your windower\scripts\sublcounter folder, open up the file named 'subl-configuration.txt'

In this file you can configure options. The main two you should be concerned about are 'mp stored per tick' and 'total stored' the configuration file has notes on how to change the settings.

Log into FFXI

Open up your regular sublimation macro (or make one if you don't already have one), add these lines:

/ja Sublimation <me><me><me>

//CSubl_Toggle

/wait 1

//CSubl_Start</me></me>

Hit your macro, squeal in delight.

If you followed my instructions correctly, you should see a counter in the upper left hand corner with the amount of MP stored.

FAQs

If you have a question, the answer probably is "It's stupid".

Q: I zoned, the counter is way off.
A: It's stupid, it doesn't know when you zone.

Q: I'm healing and hit my sublimation macro and it started counting.
A: You're stupid, don't hit your macro while resting. (Hit it again in 30sec while resting to correct)

Q: I dc'ed/crashed came back on and my sublimation was charging, when I hit my macro it starts counting even though I just used my stored MP!
A: Use your menu to toggle off sublimation, then use your macro as normal. It's stupid, it doesn't know if you actually have sublimation ON or OFF.

Q: It keeps saying 'recast down' when I hit my macro.
A: Is your recast down? So why are you hitting your macro?

Q: When I talk to an NPC or enter a cutscene it keeps counting, why?
A: It's stupid, it doesn't know when you enter a cutscene or when you talk to an NPC.

Q: It's counting by 2/tick instead of 3/tick (or vice-versa).
A: You didn't configure it to count at 3 a tick. Open up the subl-configuration.txt file in your windower\scripts\sublcounter folder and CONFIGURE IT.

Q: It stops counting too early/too late.
A:
You didn't configure it to stop counting. Open up the subl-configuration.txt file in your windower\scripts\sublcounter folder and CONFIGURE IT.

Lastly, I wrote this for ME, so if it doesn't work for you, you can post here and I'll try to help if I can, but.. I can't really say I give a fuck, lol.

:icecream:

Thank's to Fodder for eating a crash while I was testing this, lol. This is all text files, so feel free to examine, scan, poke, prod, sojourn and otherwise check out the files.

Very cool man; gives me some ideas for some modification to my Text scripts for DNC and a few other non-Recast spells. /bow

Got yarnball, but I have created a few custom Text-based add-ons for spells that Yarnball hasn't updated yet.
