I'm working on a work-around... I've added it back to the NavBar (top of the forums where "New Posts" is etc.)

Some places don't allow IRC. And there are too many problems and shady people on IRC anyway. You and I would be fine there, however others would not. I'm sticking to a locally hosted chat here....
