I've been forwarded to this forum by support for gameplay related feedback, so I'm posting this here in the hopes of it being seen by higher ups and I will not be responding to the thread afterwards or reading responses. And for anyone who does respond, I hope that you will treat each-other and the people in charge of this game with kindness. Thank you for understanding.
I have been playing FF14 for a decade since its release and finally managed to win 3 lines in a row in Wondrous Tails, which I'm told has only a 0.2% chance of occurring. But I discovered that where usually a "Khloe's Gold Certificate of Commendation" would be the reward, is instead 3 Silver Certificates.
I have learned that this is because I was not playing a character at max level at the time of accepting the Wondrous Tails, and that this cannot be rectified by attaining max level before the Wondrous Tails expires. This feels absolutely devastating and with the low chance of it occurring and after trying for 10 years, it may very likely never happen again. Let alone that there are probably plenty of people who it will never happen for at all. And I am not alone in this, I have seen threads where this exact same thing has happened to others as well.
I'd like to make my argument for why the Golden Certificate should be a reward regardless of what level you are when you accept the Wondrous Tails. I believe the game design logic behind this decision is because the dungeons and trials that you have to complete to finish a Wondrous Tails below maximum level are easier. But I feel that the cons outweigh the pros on this.
•Firstly, players do not always have the choice to pick up a Wondrous Tails at maximum level, in my case, I had just picked up playing Dawntrail only a recently, so all of my jobs were below max level. In the case of other people, it's possible that someone has started playing the game for the first time only recently, and may have multiple expansions to play through before attaining a maxed out job.
•Second, similar to point one, where characters do not always have a choice to pick up a Wondrous Tails at maximum level, players also do not have a choice for when they win all three lines, as it is completely up to chance. In my case, it happened to me the very first time without re-rolling any of my stamps.
