Last night in Coerthas Central I started a Fate against a giant of some kind while getting synced down from 51 to 35ish, and was doing very little damage against it (I get that some Fates aren't meant to be soloed at all, but that's annoying enough). However, seconds into the fight another player wanders in, completely annihilates the giant and rides off.
I still got full credit for the FATE, but I do have to wonder if it's possible to ignore the sync (even if it means you get no EXP or anything)?
