I'm a bit late to post on reddit but better late than never.
Never did I think creating the Yoshi Sanpo 3d print would lead to Yoshi P himself showing it in the LL, after I gave it to him, I thought that'd be the last I saw of it. And it was quite emotional letting it go since I've been working on it for around 5 months.
It started off as a crazy idea- I was disillusioned with my game dev job search after graduation so as a last ditch effort to show how committed I am to my art and work, I took on this arduous project whilst also getting ready for my JLPT N2 exam. I thought there was no better way to showcase my dedication other than making a tribute to the game and its developers who inspired me to switch from comp sci to a design degree and take up character art.
I have more information about the making-of on my port but I think reddit doesn't like including that in posts and my acc is new so I may link it later if people are interested.
I'm happy to reply to any questions. I'm a bit busy with work right now but I'll do my best!
