E8s Light Rampant - Uptime Strat For Pf

There's a lot of strategies currently running around in PF for early E8S(Savage), though I've yet to see any properly written up, or linked with solid vods. Some friends of mine have been running with the following 'uptime' strat taken from the Controller Problems static, which seems to be working great both for them and in PF so far.

  • Step 1 - BOWTIE FORMATION
    • Tank/Healer with tether have preset spots (n/s)
    • DPS go e/w (Assigning 2 DPS to E/W, and one of each of those to be the flex if both get tethered.)
    • If formation is a box, not a bowtie, Tank(n) and DPS(e) swap spots to make a bowtie.
    • Balls get the meteor tower CLOCKWISE from their ball.
    • Tether players should stand inside the ring on the floor, roughly on the tips of the black diamond design.
    • Ball players should stand on/just outside the ring on the floor.

  • Towers go off, Tether players eat first cleave round.


  • Step 2 - CROSS & SQUISH
    • E/W Tether players move 2nd towers(n/s) with the tether player already there. (Squishing the bowtie)
    • Balls CROSS through middle (lean to the right/clockwise side slightly to avoid hitting balls. Like driving, right side of the road. You -can- run through a tower to do this.

  • Towers Resolve.
    • Tether players can slightly as needed to not cleave each other or the ball players.

  • 2nd Cleaves and Balls resolve.


  • Step 3 - FINAL TOWER/3s IN
    • All players still at only 3 stacks jump in last tower (2 tether players 2 ball players)

Upsides:

  • Full Melee Uptime

  • No vocal communication required


  • Consistently repeatable

Mechanic Explanation, for those just getting to the mechanic -


  • 4 Players (a light party) will be tethered together in a semi-random way. They cannot get too close or too far from the players they are tethered too, or it is a wipe.


  • The other 4 players (the other light party) will be tethered to an orb. They must be kited until they shrink to minimum size. Orbs can touch each other, but may NOT touch any player before they are minimum size.


  • Meteor Towers spawn at intercardinals (1 person towers), then North/South (2 person towers), then center (4 person tower)


  • The boss will do two sets of cleaves/protean wave type attacks on the 4 closest players.


  • All players are also afflicted with a semi-random number of stacks. Each mechanic taken will give you another stack. If any player reaches 5 stacks, it is a wipe.
