Dynamis Xarc Sunday June 21

Predaking

Megatron
Hello,

This Sunday when we do Dynamis-Xarc we will be attempting to battle the Animated Kunai and the Animated Tachi again? If so I will make preparations to know the best and most efficient pull paths. If we're doing the usual farm or DL routes, I know these pulling paths quite well so that won't be a problem. Thanks.

Kinda depends on numbers. It was kinda on a whim last time. There is need to get them yet as both redd and I are still a decent ways away from completing out relics so.

Ok, well I will study the maps and look over some info over the weekend and get a feel of what works best. We'll see how our numbers play out on Sunday.

The route to the Animated Kunai isn't really a concern, more the route to take for the Animated Tachi. It's located by the entrance to the Range and I've only fought and defeated it once. When I fought it we were at 64 people and the mobs were all dying fast.

As for directions to take, I am not sure if coming from the top is more dangerous than pulling from the bottom of the ramp, as my impression is that whole line of mobs will aggro either way once a target is claimed. Might be one of those cases where we just need to make sure that Sleepga/Lullaby gets off immediately and then take down all the eyes asap to avoid any disasters, then pick off the demons in the usual order and fashion. It's a heavy pull and the eyes pop a lot of demons, probably more than the ones leading to the Animated Kunai (which is probably the case since that path leads to at least 2 Animated Weapons). Once that line of ramp mobs are down, it's pretty open leading to the Animated Tachi with only a few mobs to deal with.

Also another suggestion, I know that you (Heie) have the attestation for the katana, but I don't know if Redd has the one for the great katana. If he needs it, I suggest that we pop the attest NMs during our Dynamis-Beau run at the end of the month. Since our farming time will be cut down a bit because we need to do the whole process with the MB, this would be a good time to do this, as the attestation NM we need to fight is at the tower on the way to the MB. And killing the Nue tower eye NM doesn't take too long to do and it's a good use of our time if we plan to kill the MB, in my opinion anyway.

So after we clear the gobs, we'd need to clear the ramp of eyes/hydras leading up to xarc, then I can lead a squad to the Nue tower and take down the eye NM. I'd need 2 SAMs, 1 RDM, another DD type such as WAR or SAM, a THF, and myself to tank.

The problem is we will need powder boots for this, at least 2 pairs each, and having /thf sub for flee isn't a bad idea either, except for maybe the RDM, which may just need use 3 pairs of power boots instead. So some kind of preparation for getting this many pairs of powder boots will need to be considered in terms of who is buying them or if we have a supply of them somewere from before that we can use. The complete flee and fight strategy can be discussed with the squad later if we decide to do it.

While we fight the eye NM, the rest of the LS can kill the quads and the only other concern is that when we regroup and we go to fight the orcs, that we avoid the tower by the orcs as Mildaungeux will be popped there. Other than that I feel that it works out well overall and it's good to fight the attest NM as much as possible as the drops are random, so need to do it as much as possible for more chances for the great katana proof to drop.

Anyways, I'll shut up now. Just throwing out some suggestions and strategies so we can get ready for whatever we decide to do in the end.

Sounds like a good idea regarding Glacier. I think that Garret gave Heie his supply of powder boots a long time ago and they are on a mule. If so that would at least partially take care of the powder boots. Would need to check how many he has and how many we need.

Upon looking at the maps and the info that I have found, it seems that the pull on the ramp leading to the Animated Tachi is much the same as the ramp leading to the Animated Kunai, where once you engage an eye it starts a chain reaction of spawns, and they all come at once. It doesn't seem that these pulls can be split up in any fashion. It would appear the way to deal with them is mass sleeps, kill eyes first and fast, then eliminate the demons. I don't think it matters if we pull from the top or the bottom, but maybe pulling from the bottom may have more kiting room perhaps, and we can spread out more for more effective sleeps. My impression though is that either area is doable for pulls. Nothing too special other than dealing with an overwhelming pull of mobs at once, but nothing we haven't experienced before.

If we do the Dynamia Lord or just a farming run, we can fight the ramp demons for currency and armor instead of doing the normal center area at the beginning of the zone where the first TE is located, then attempt the Animated Weapons. Just up to you guys if and when you want to attemp these battles.
