Dynamis Schedule>Zones?

Who decides which zones we do each dynamis? was J/w what the schedule is based on?

I personally enjoy the idea of 1city/1outland each week.

Looking at the schedule

Bastok>Sandy>Beac>jeuno>
windy> bastok>jeuno>beac>xarca

x2bastok,x2jeuno etc.

are we sticking to a schedule something simliar to above? or are we going to move to a more 1city>1outland schedule?
 
Pretty sure Heie and Yels said last week that we were going to incorporate more northlands. This first schedule was just to get things rolling, get people clears who need them, etc.
 
Heie and I both decided which runs would make up July's schedule. As we were not sure how many people would attend consistantly and we have never led dynamis before we thought it would be best to start of with some of the easier dynamis runs and have the difficulty progress as the month went on.

The reason for the second Bastok run after the Windy run was quite frankly to keep morale high if the Windy run did not go smoothly since Windy is a difficult zone. Jeuno was thrown in a second time because Heie and I had not yet recieved feedback from sponsors as to which type of currency they needed most. Since Jeuno drops all currency we decided it would be a good choice.

Future schedules are not going to look like this first one. There will be alot more northlands in the future.
 
One other thing to consider is that northlands have an unfortunate tendency to shaft sponsors on currency. Sure plenty of people need Xarc AF but they're not the ones footing the bill lol. I'm just glad it's not my decision, I see it as a difficult balance.

That's one of the prices we paid for moving to sponsored runs. I wasn't in favor of it myself, but that's the way things have evolved. I'd have happily paid my share of every run DX I ever did in exchange for my share of the currency.

Not to mention it was just plain more fun to lot for stuff and to leave with something to show for the run. 60+ runs without winning AF was extremely depressing (though thankfully that ended when DX put in its point system).
 
Eh, I think anyone who chooses to sponsor a Northlands is aware of the risks. It's not an ideal situation for a sponsor, but for me personally, I'd be a lot more likely to risk losing money if it also means a shot at AF for my friends (or myself, for that matters), rather than losing money and seeing some random stranger take off with a desired piece, never to return again. Breaking even is my minimum "requirement" for a sponsorship, but if I end up losing money in a Xarca where someone gets a piece of AF and is happy about it, it won't have been for nothing. That's not to say I'll gladly toss my gil at Xarca every time I can, I'm just saying a sponsor knows the risks, and I think for most people, they become more worth it when you can do dynamis with friends and ls mates.

Personal POV, anyway.
 
For northlands my old dynamis group, before we had a bank that sold the currency/pay for runs. Whoever sponsered the run, if they didnt make back the money, the group would split the rest. i.e. if 500k in currency dropped, and 30 members attended, everyone would pay 16.6k to makeup for the other 500k.
 
Can the zones for August be posted please :)
 
A week before August actually gets here?! That would be breaking with all tradition! ^_~

We want to see how the northland runs go to know how to plan next months runs. Considering how low the numbers were for the jeuno run and how much of a bitch the northlands cans be want to see how we do before we go planning 2-3 xarcs.

Also I just found out last jeuno that there is another LS that just start doing dynamis on Wednesday the same time we go. They go Wednesday and Saturday. So I still need to talk to them and see what they have planned and work with them on what runs will happen.
 
I have to work a few Sundays and Wednesdays but i usually try roster myself around where i feel you can use extra bodies.

Only reason why i ask.
