Last night I was receiving tells that people had conserns with Spit coming to dynamis with us because he was kicked from ultima.

I personally don't know all the details but know the general idea around Spits kick. After he was kicked he ask Yel and me if he was still allowed to come to dynamis. We both told him yes. Since we are allowing invitees to come I didn't see a problem with Spit coming. Spit is a dedicated player and plays his jobs well and generally will go out of his way to help.

If Spit coming to dynamis runs is going to cause problems then it will of course have to be addressed. Asking anyone to please state your issues/conserns/problems with Spit coming to dynamis here and we can disscus them like adults.

Think everyone who was there last night will agree that Spit caused no problems last and didn't even say anything even when some people were joking about him being kicked from Ultima. Of course if Spit is still allowed to come to dynamis and he starts causing problems those problems will be addressed. But personally as of right now I have no problems with Spit coming to our dynamis runs.
 
OMG! go away for a weekend & miss all the drama. No one mentioned that he was not in Ultima anymore so I had no idea. Would never have joked about it. Now I feel bad.
 
Let's just say he pulled the same shit with Redd in the linkshell that got locodawg banned. I love being right about people.

Did I ever mention I left Ultima initially because you guys didn't do shit about him sharing linkshell screenshots with people outside of the linkshell? Yeah, that's why I left.
 
I know why Spit was kicked, and I have no problems with him coming to dynamis. While I agree he was out of line (hence the kicking), and while I know he can be an asshole, he behaved nicely in Xarcabard. I like Spit, he's always been nice to me, but I understand why people have problems with him. However, like Heie said, I believe that if problems were to arise, they would be dealt with. Heie and Yels have been very mature, professional and fair when it comes to dealing with this dynamis ls, both for members and sponsors, so I trust them.

that pretty much sums up my feelings on the issue.

I don't have an issue with him being on the runs.

However, I can understand the concern The issue was always fuzzy with DX. I know Eil came once or twice after getting kicked from Ultima. At the same time, Fiko was banned from DX after getting kicked from Ultima.
 
Fiko was not permanently banned from DX. After a time he was allowed to return to it. The reason for that ban, however, was a Dynamis related incident itself.
 
Well i must say i have a problem with this, im sure its well stated me and spit have never been on great terms. I tried more then one time to reach out to him and settle things, and was always responded to negatively. I dont think someone that we all know is a problem and an rude, mean person in general, should be allowed to come to a dynamis shell that is mostly ultima. my understanding is that friends and people we have respect for are welcome to join, i lost all respect for spit longtime ago. but this is my opinion, and i know its not my decision and ill fully respect however it is handled. i just know i personally dont want to see him there and i really dont want to help him get gear and advance his char. people like that should be toss in the garbage where they belong. as to the whole if problems arise, many many problems have already arisen while he was in ultima. i dont honestly think hes going to magically change after being kicked. i understand some may see this post and not understand it, he can be nice to people. but the ones that know what im refering to should stand up and not allow this to happen.

Oh, I definitely understand your concerns Ara. Being Spit's friend does not mean I'm oblivious to (or approve of) the incredulous behavior he's capable of. I don't think he's going to magically change either, but he already was punished for his actions. Those actions in particular. Generally people who are still in Ultima hold themselves to a higher standard than Spit, for good reason. So if Spit can be civil and sit on his asshattery for three hours, two days a week, why can't we be civil back and quietly go about our dynamis business, letting him heal us/nuke shit or whatever, without letting his mere prescence ruin the whole experience? Dynamis is tedious enough as it is.

are you in physical pain by seeing him in the dynamis shell? has he done anything to cause problems in the shell yet? if no... leave your problems at home and grow up.
 
as in all cases im sure this seems easy and all to you aelf. but he has on many occasions gone out of his way to offend me and many of my friends. he has called me a cherry picker, asshole, faggot, told me my friends are trash, told me he does what he wants and doesnt have to fear punishment, called friends racial slurs and just been the worst kind of person possible. like i said earlier, im sure this is hard for you to understand, i know hes your friend. thats cool, thats your choice. but this "shell" is under the ultima wing. he was kicked by leadership because he is a piece of trash. so lets just let him join another wing of ultima? im grown, but maybe if your friend could act like a civil human being, people wouldnt have a problem with being around him.

and aelf im not trying to be attacking at you, just making a point. and i respect your opinion. but please dont question my mental age.

Not my place to comment on this imo, since I have yet to attend dynamis with you guys yet (though I do plan to.. life is just crazy right now and I have trouble even attending normal events).. so my opinion here should have little to no bearing on what is done in this situation.

You're not alone, Ara.. Spit used to be nice to me, I talked to him a couple times, then it just changed one day. It's irrelevant whether he likes me or hates me, I honestly don't care about that. Everyone has a right to their own opinions.

In DX, there were a couple occasions where he got some members riled up, and I'd just /tell them saying to ignore him and they'd vent to me instead of escalating it in /l.

I don't like Spit. His attitude is just not cool.. but at the same time, he's bearable. I believe he's a likable person. He would probably be pretty cool if he'd keep his critisism of people to himself more often.

My overall opinion of him is that he likes attention, positive or negative. That's why he'll say what he says or do what he does. He'll spare those he likes, of course. If you're one of his 'targets,' and you let it get to you, that's just what he wants. So, don't let it get to you.

I think he can change. Not overnight, of course. In time, he can. People change all the time.

I also agree with Lexa. He was already punished for his actions, no need to punish him again for being civil. If he's not causing any problems, what exactly is the problem with him attending? Ultimately if there's an issue with him in the future, sacks will deal with it appropriately. That's what they're there for. Well, one reason anyway :)

Again, take what I'm saying with a grain of salt, just my two cents. Though I feel kind of silly saying all of this because of why I was kicked from Ultima in the first place, it was a very similar situation. I'll probably start coming to dynamis this upcoming Sunday I hope :)
 
He got the ultimate punishment for those actions, though (no pun intended) - he got booted the fuck out of the shell.

I know very well he's been unbelievably rude - outrageously so. But unless he's been dogging you (or others) during dynamis, continuing with his awful behavior during "Ultima time," in public or in tells, I see no reason to punish him for behavior that's unrelated to our dynamis runs, beyond it involving some of the same people.

As an Ultima member, I partially agree with you, Arafea - his actions have been so far across the line, it's impossible to describe, and most of it has been unforgivable. I would never encourage or condone this behavior, and I haven't. But to believe that a) he'll continue this behavior just as he has in the past, and b) Heie and Yels own't take any actions against it, is just silly.

As a sponsor, I feel more securing having his extra help there, because like him or not, he's a talented player, and that means less chance of me losing more money.

this all reminds me of the whole way ive seen women take back men that beat them. "oh he will change" "he has been punished enough" "its different now". for alot of people its not different. and to the sponser thing, i can find many people that will come that will be alot more pleasant, respect and just as talented. i personally dont get why people that know how he acts defend him. i just dont get it at all. ok maybe he can change, but not over night. ban him for atleast 6 months, and let him think over what he did. then if he can be civil and respectful, let him come on probation.

oh and spit doesnt get what he wants with me. last time we talked, he told me i was ruining the ls, that im shit, and that people will leave because im back. ok. fine. but i was nice to him and that made him even more pissed. i dont play his games. im just trying my hardest to prevent anyone being harrassed by him. no one should be treated the way he treats people.

You're discussing this like the dynamis shell is Ultima. It's not. I understand that in your mind they're one entity but they aren't. In fact, considering you ran Negatron and always put forth the individuality of that shell, I'm a bit surprised you're so quick to tie the dynamis shell in as 'part of Ultima'.

I'm not going to defend him and say he's a nice guy. He can be, but he can be an ass too. Regardless, the shit he got kicked from Ultima for happened in Ultima. If he plays it straight during dynamis, then I don't see a problem.

Fur, I won't defend his character but I will defend his ability. Asshole or not, he plays his jobs well. If I had to choose between an asshole with skill or a nice retard, I'd have to stick with the asshole.

I can understand and respect why people don't want him on the runs whether I agree with that stance or not.
 
I believe the bottom line is that there are many members who are disgruntled and against Spit joining an Ultima made Dynamis as an "invitee" (whether they voiced their opinion or not). That alone should say something. From what I gathered, we posted names of possible invitees in a certain thread to be discussed, and if that's the case, and spit's name was placed there, I am sure this would be discussed in the same fashion in that thread. Also, I would rather lose 1 skilled asshole than possibly lose multiple skilled Ultima members in whom this may/will effect.
 
think the forum is ultima dynamis and is closed to outside people? this is Ultima dynamis, unless i was misinformed. ultima members can bring a friend?

Meh, if people are going to be that bothered by him just being there that they can't handle it for three hours and decide to leave, then we're probably better off without him.

On another note, if it was made more clear what people actually got kicked for, then it would make it easier for everyone to discuss shit like this. Any time someone gets kicked from the shell all the rumors and 'behind closed doors' type discussions start up and they only serve to cloud the issue.
