No, not as in all-time best ideal version of a healer.
No, not as in a healer that uses dream magic.
It is the idea of a new healer that came to me last night in a dream. Some of it has gotten fuzzy after waking up.
Basically, circles were dropped/placed on the ground. In practice, this could be either with objects being tossed that form circles, placing them with ground targeting, or having them based on the location of the target/healer at cast. That was vague in the dream.
The AoE circles each had different effects. Some were like Ring of Peace for Monk in World of Warcraft, that prevents trash mobs or PvP enemies from entering that space then left a snaring pool a few additional seconds that reduced movement speed to those that tried again . Some were like Ley Lines for BLM that gave allies some kind of buff; I think one was a very brief movement speed boost (maybe 3 seconds) and a miss chance for enemy attacks I think? But the circles are persistent for a little while even if the effect wears off quick. Another caused damage by allies to enemies inside the circle to feedback into group members as healing received. These are kind of vague because the dream was impressions and images more than narrative, but it felt good dropping these circles (having different types up at once). I'm trying to translate the impressions into something more like an explanation of a tooltip but it's not a 1:1 translation.
Anyway, it seemed fun while being somewhat different from other healers. In actual game design terms, the circles would need to be OGCDs. But I feel, not from a direct memory of the dream but my impression of it, that even GCD damage and heal abilities somehow interact with or are aligned with the circles. Like somehow you could empower one of your GCD abilities based on the number enemies hit with a certain circle, or maybe effective use of your GCDs or good healer play could reset or reduce the timer for OGCDs.
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted
