Decided to build White Mage after starting off as a Bard a few months ago (Yeah, I'm several years late to FFXIV...so what 
), and how are there still healers who actually don't DPS?
Aren't you bored out of your mind if you're not trying to deal some damage when nobody's health bar is really down very much?
Don't get me wrong...when I'm in an unfamiliar dungeon, I am more cautious than usual and try to keep everyone's health at 90%+ "just in case," but if I know there's no big killer hits coming, I can't help but DPS to the point where my tank is probably wondering if I'm asleep at the wheel!
I've only been a WHM for a couple weeks, but my priorities for healing are:
Honestly, I have no idea if the people I play with in DF think I'm doing a good job, but unless I don't know the dungeon, we make it through, usually without dying, and I keep myself busy.
Plus, it's just a game... who wants to be bored when playing a game?!

- TANK
- Doing Damage
- Topping off my DPS' health
