BST broth recipe changes

Could not stand it and had to go look at new recipes. Here they are. They make it very possible to HQ Diremites, Anticans, and Efts now. Oh old recipes still work if anyone wants to use them :p

4 Jugs of Blood Broth (Level 63 cooking)

Water Crystal

1 Fiend Blood
1 Leech Saliva
1 Lizard Blood
1 Bird Blood
1 Beast Blood

4 Jugs of Antican Broth (Level 67-68 cooking)

Water Crystal

1 Block Gelatin
1 Antican Pauldron
1 Antican Robe
2 Jars Antican Acid

4 Jugs Mole Broth (Level 58 Cooking)

Water crystal

2 Snapping moles
1 Helmet Mole
1 Lump Loam
1 Lugworm
1 Shell bug

So is Lars better than lv73 F U N G W A R?

Is maxing Beast Affinity no longer the best move on BST merits?

maxing bst affin will still be better,... if lars and the other "new" jugs are that much cheaper now,... then yeah they'll pass fungwar for sure, affin will help ensure they are at cap lvl tho insteady of 73-75 or whatever their range of lvls are
 
Then that means my AF2 gloves and 1 level of beast aff should suffice to cap Lars? Wow, I was so close to raising it again too. Time to finally finish MP merits maybe. Thanks elf.

dont quote me on that lvl range, im just guessing... havent done the research to know that due to the price of the jugs previously
 
Benny don't jump the gun.

From the tests I've seen, a BST with maxed Beast Affinity and relic gloves will most times pop a Carrie that is not lvl 75. We know this because most of the time she won't be petrified by Ahriman in that scenario. What this means is that either she is much lower level than we previously thought, or that she doesn't "cap" at 75 at all. Either way, you can never have too many jug level boosters.

P.S. Anyone find out what SE meant when they discussed changes to how the broth ingredients would be obtained? Or am I misrecalling the quote?

Reports are that things like acid and beast blood are almost 1/1 drop now. But Gordie could not get the lizard blood last night so dunno.
 
I figure the drop rate on the bloods is greater than 50% now. I farmed beast blood for 30 mins and got over a stack. The lizard blood was harder because I was only able to find 2 regular diremites. The 2 I found respawn every 14 mins and dropped around 50-75% percent as well. So they really really uppped the drop rate. This makes it pretty dang easy to get these jugs. Was a really nice move by them.

According to all the literature that Ive been able to find regarding Jug lvl. Even if a jug has a 75 cap It still spawns at a variable lvl. I personally would still cap bst affinity.
 
So LV. What did they change about the Lars recipe? Did they get rid of the beastman blood? If so thats pretty kick ass.
 
we've got to try and think of some viable way to test jug pet level...

Lowered synth from mid seventies and changed to fiend blood :D Oh forgot to find where that comes from.

all Synths were lowered a bit to make tier 2 (25% HQ)

Biggest drop was the Antican one that was a mid 90's level synth before
 
The bird blood drops like candy (so would assume the others do too), I was testing pup changes on the ctrice in Onzozo (DC out of way with pesky statuses and such, sounds like good test for cure bot :D), so was picking on the leeches too. Got on average 1 blood a leech (some none, some two) without TH.
