After allegations on a certain popular FF XIV bots developer having spied and harassed users across various discords. I feel it's necessary for the community to understand how to ensure the safety of the users on their discord server.
Steps 7 - 11 can be repeated for the channels you wish your bots to have access to, at least for where it should receive commands and post newsletters.
This post is mostly only applicable for bots that don't do some form of role management, in those instances you're in a bit of a different boat, and please be aware just how much access you're giving to that bot.
Alternatively, assign a permission for your bot to every channel, and remove all their permissions in that channel if you wish to continue using the "everyone" role
Edit
Please ensure that you don't use the "Everyone" role on your server freely.
Try to give any user a role that arrives to the server, being "guest" or something similar, but everyone will also apply to the bot.
