It is no secret the team has no clue how to implement pet classes (Or any class perhaps....). However, what they did implement well was trust or companion systems, to a degree.
Imo, Beastmaster should simply be a perk any class can utilize, so long as they complete a requisite quest.
Thus, the Beastmaster perk simply acts as a solo companion any class can call & collect while soloing dungeons, quest, etc. I am not against anyone who wants the full class btw (I play the full class on XI). However, I feel XIV could get by with not releasing a full-on pet class.....that's all.......Not anti-limited job, but don't see the payoff in resources being used on a class/job that cannot participate in the most appealing aspect of FF games, the story.
So much resources go into jobs and the story, but the two are not compatible (In terms of limited jobs). Been go for awhile (Just got back), maybe limited jobs can do MSQ now or planned....idk.....
