My OG post got deleted as it became a nasty almost bullying thread.
Anyway. I’m asking once more to consider a arachnophobia filter implemented into game. Especially for those like me on PlayStation 5 and other consoles.
I have an extreme phobia of spiders (even typing that is hard for me using the word squonk in replacement as my fear is that bad) just trying to point out how bad my fear is.
I would love this feature so I can do weeping city for example without fear. That first boss is the only normal fight in game I don’t know the mechanics for cause I’m so scared. I often ask to be able to die and let me respawn. But either they don’t listen, have been rescued towards it and even been kicked from the raid wasting my time. It’s the same in the mob packs in the last pulls of the fell court of Toria. Again I do and will get kicked. As a DPS main I prefer not to leave wait another 30 mins before I’m allowed to queue up again for another long wait that may just put me in that dungeon again. Also I would love to try tanking more and this stops me from being able to do so.
I do understand that this is a pipe dream and that there are other phobias and those are valid but in this case I’m asking for something for my phobia tho I would support anyone that needed a filter for their own phobia.
Again I don’t have the money nor space for a laptop and I really don’t wanna have to re purchase the game on another platform.
My thinking is here is swapping out the model of these enemies in game with something very similar the belladonnas / witchweeds although I don’t like them as they do resemble they are plant like and a mutant plant isn’t gonna come into my home. Also I am aware they are just pixels but my god it doesn’t matter as my brain is irrational when it comes these creatures hence a phobia. I don’t even know where to seek help for this here in the UK.
