Add the new action 'Draw'.
When Draw is used the action changes to Heavy Shot.
While in Draw, a %age chance of hit appears as a HUD UI element, it begins at 30% and rises over the course of 1 GCD to 100%.
The aiming gauge goes over 100%.
If the shot is held to 120%, the hit becomes Direct.
If the shot is held to 200%, the hit becomes Critical Direct.
When Heavy Shot is pressed, the arrow is released and the hit calculation is made with the current Aim %age.
The potency of Heavy shot is changed to around ~300 subject to balance.
The change in gameplay:
Bards would now have some choice in their basic arrow attack. If you shoot on the animation lock (0.5s+ping) then you can rapid fire low 30%ish hit chance shots, gambling that if they do all hit, you can have a dps gain.
On the other end of the scale, if you invest more time into aiming the shot, it can become a direct, then critical direct hit.
Bonus points for tying Refulgent into the same mechanic!
Anyways, it just seems like it could be a small, but potentially tactile-y satisfying way to add in a little more 'Archer' flavor to the job, picking your moment when to shoot!
