A Couple Of Developments In Other Games

Hello!

I don't know if this is still an issue with FFXIV, but I am currently posting on a second account and one of the reasons why is because when I stopped using Steam, I was under the impression that I had to create a new service account to continue playing on PC. That meant I had to abandon my preexisting characters on the Steam-linked service account. And considering you cannot delete a service account, I just closed the account altogether and created this present account.

On the bright side, I had a reason to continue playing FFXIV as I work on this character while waiting for patch 5.3. I can't wait for the live letter in just under 12 hours from typing this!

If that was incorrect or is no longer true, then great!

Otherwise, I would just like to draw attention to some news from SWTOR:

Crossplay and Cross-Save

If you decide to play The Old Republic through Steam instead of the direct SWTOR launcher, all of your progress will carry over when you switch! Likewise, all progress you make on Steam will carry to the next time you play using the direct launcher.
On PC, many SE games are on Steam, so while I am currently content playing FFXIV using a standalone service account and launcher, I may decide to create a new Steam account in the future and I had a good experience with FFXIV on Steam and wouldn't mind purchasing another copy of FFXIV on Steam if I could continue using my current service account.

And in other news, I saw this on Reddit:

I don't know if that is truly in development and will be ready for WoW's upcoming expansion, Shadowlands, but if it is real and Blizzard doesn't add any reward to it, it might be worth keeping an eye on to see if it works (differently, better, or worse) than FFXIV's equivalent system.

Anyways, I don't really like making threads usually, but thanks for the consideration.
