I'm day 1 player of FFXIV since before ARR but very on and off. I came back to the game after being off for 2 years. The game offers too much. But I'm not a person of cosmetics or housing and such.
I'm a bit in dilemma on how to progress because I feel like I'm missing something. I feel that progression is very linear compared to FFXI. Ive been back on FFXI for 6 months and there is so much to do whether long term or short term that actually matter and benefits your progression. But in XIV I feel like gearing and progression path is very linear. BiS gear besides savage is clearly crafted and tome gear.
I am now up to date with MSQ, finished all the + quests and unlocked flight in all new areas. Basically I'm just doing duty roulletes.
What routine should I be following? Whether daily, weekly or monthly that actually matter and helps my progression. Whether gear wise, money wise or QoL wise?
I know there is an update coming soon. Is there something I should be prepared for? Or content I should finish now to be ready for the new update?
Please shed some light.
