So, 7.4 is about to give us our first hints towards our next adventure in Eorzea, but I want to know, now that Dawntrail's been up and out for almost 18 months, what are your hot takes on this expansion?
For me - It's been one of my favourite expansions - regarding raids and battle content - and whilst I can see people's issues with the "Talk to Wuk Lamat" every other quest, I really enjoyed the story...
So I'll start - My hot take - The story should have had lower stakes.
Dawntrail was advertised as a reprise from cataclysmic events, and yet we still found ourselves fighting world ending battles. Had they just introduced, and developed a new Villain, with new motivations, that could escalate over the next few expansions, I would have felt better.
Instead, it felt like we just got a clump of throwaway characters.
