Hi, I recently completed DT MSQ and it's my first time approaching content that isn't MSQ dungeons, trials, alliance raids etc etc.
Preparing myself for it, I stumbled in raid jargon, openers, burst window, optimization blah blah... Overwhelming, but I get the gist of it and might come handy in the future.
One thing that scares me is encounter-specific optimization. I'm far from a fast learner, both for mechanics and combos. The idea of having to rearrange/tweak my rotation for every different fight is discouraging.
I don't plan on being a top-notch raider DPSer who can clear savages with a blindfold, but I don't want to be a burden either.
My question is: what jobs offers a static/rigid gameplay? I don't mind having to memorize long combos. I don't mind APM. I mind having to change my buttons on the fly or according to the encounter.
For reference: I've almost exclusively played SAM, which fits quite well for normal content, but I've read that the optimization of the class can get real hard real fast.
(PS. Bonus points if it's not SMN. I never tried it and I know that SMN is considered the easiest dps... but thematically-wise I dislike it. If it's exactly what I'm looking for, I'll give it a chance though).
