The game shouldn't punish you for playing with your friends. (Savage loot system)

If you join a party to clear a Savage raid after you've already cleared that week, the entire party will be deprived of loot drops regardless of whether or not the other members have already cleared it.

But why?

This feature is anti-social and makes no sense. All I can see it achieving is preventing you from helping other players, making it more difficult to fill party finder groups, and making it so you can't play the raids with your friends if you're part of a static. All negatives, no benefits.

Why not simply make it so you personally can't get loot from subsequent clears, instead of punishing everyone else for no reason?

I doubt they ever will, but I really wish the SE would communicate and explain their reasoning for things like this (if they have any), and for other issues such as the glamour restrictions, because from an outside perspective it seems totally random and fuels player frustration.
