It's been more than a month since 7.4 already. It have to be said : I really hate this 4 month cycle. But even with a 4 month cycle, we usually had a 7.X1 in the month of the release. I was expecting at first the patch for last week at best or tomorrow at worst. Still no news, so, I guess it won't be happening.
I see Yoshi-P's defenders coming : "They delayed the savage of 2 weeks for holidays". Yeah, they did listen to a minority of americans that are religious and play the game. The release of the chaotic raid at Christmas 2024 was ok with most of Japanese, European or Canadian players. Some american made some noise, and they changed the calendar (Honnestly there was a poll on reddit when they announced the delay this year and the majority voted that they liked the Christmas release in 2024). But anyways, ok, fine, you delayed the savage.
This is absolutely no reasons to delay the rest of the patch tho. You guys are already delayed everything. Usually, we should already be at 7.5 with the 8.0 coming up in 5 month.
I really wish that SE could stop using XIV's income for their other project. We already pay for the game and pay a monthly sub, I don't see why this expansion have to feel "cheaper" than the previous ones. If giving them more delay would mean better and more content, I would be ok with it, but so far it's no different from then content we had in the previous expansion, the patch cycle just now feel forever and we keep having to take pause from that game because of it.
SE should just come back to the 3 months cycles. They tried the 4 month in DT, it doesn't work, so just hire more people and stop spending XIV's money on fail project.
