This month for all the Northlands areas we have given sponsor the first 100 which drops. Assuming one actually drops this makes Northlands about equivalent to cities in currency drops. I believe most people have found this to be a reasonable thing to do for sponsors.

I plan to do the same thing in the upcoming month, it will probably end up being a standard rule, with how hard gil is to come by these days I think sponsors truly deserve their money's worth out of a run.

This begs one question though. Sponsors are allowed to lot normally in addition to sponsoring, so the question becomes, can a sponsor lot 100's in a Northlands zone?

They are already 'guarenteed' one if it drops, but that is part of their sponsoring, can they then choose to lot 100's with their actual points and in theory win 2 100's, 1 from sponsoring & 1 from lotting?
 
Its a tough call. I've wondered about that myself. We haven't really seen many multiple 100 drops in Northlands runs lately so it hasn't come up.

I'm torn down the middle on this. Part of me thinks that 1st 100 should be it. Part of me thinks they should be entitled to lotting again since that 1st 100 is essentially breaking even.
 
I'm split on it as well. On the glacier runs I had sponsored this month there was AF2 I wanted anyway, so I just put that in my comment.

But for a zone like Xarcabard there is no AF2 I would want, so that begs the question and I figured I would bring it up now rather than discussing it at a run.

The sponsoring part of me thinks that it's reasonable to lot them, because in theory in a major city a sponsor can lot 100's when they are already getting around 250-300 currency, therefore in Northlands they are sponsoring for around that same amount of currency and should still get to lot 100's.

In addition there are runs where no 100's are going to drop in Northlands, and sponsor will really get screwed there, so perhaps it's fair to let them get a shot at winning another 100 in those zones to balance out those occasional zones where they will get bitten in the ass.
 
I see sponsor as they pay they earned what we give them lotting is a different topic. Why stop someone from lotting something they have points for i see it as fair and the odds of 2 100s is fairly rare :D
 
Sponsor is the one taking the risk, so yea I think they should have a shot at a little profit on the off-chance that two 100s drop.
 
Let them keep all 100's :D
 
Yar, might lose a few people if all 100's where sponsor only.

I just rather see people get Relics faster and it makes sense to me.
 
It does make sense but have to compromise at times. With sponsor getting 1st 100 in Northlands and keeping all singles in cities they should get 250-300+ currency on almost all runs, that's a pretty reasonable return for 1mil.
 
Yeah I think you'd lose quite a few people that way. I love seeing people get relic faster just as much as the next guy, but if people have 0 chance of getting -anything- out of a run, I think we might even lose some of the more dedicated people for runs they have AF in already.
 
I think the standing rule will end up being

Cities - Sponsors keeps all singles, can lot 100's with points like anybody else.

Northlands - Sponsors keeps singles + 1st 100 bill, can lot additional 100's with points like anybody else.

This means that the sponsor should receive at least over 200+ currency a run, with a chance to win more. Pretty reasonable I think.
