[Spoiler: M12 P2 Theme] Lyrics behind the instrumentals

While The Arcadion is mostly instrumental (reversed for It's Showtime!), the themes its referencing are not. I thought I would find and write out these lyrics for my curiosity's sake and hopefully that of others.

0:00 It's Showtime!

There ain't no going back ...

Tonight, lightning'll strike, thunder will fall (and) You're gonna give it all To

This is closer to Give It All's lyrics and style but to the tune of It's Showtime! at 0:10, before when Give it All's tune normally starts in it. The additional words sound like 'again this time' to me. Another clue it's It's Showtime! is that the line 'no going back' is followed by the line 'Tonight'. While this version of 'no going back' is different, the crowd chants these two lines back to back at 1:25 in It's Showtime!, and these lines are far apart in Give It All. The second line has different lyrics to Give it all.

0:23 Burning Souls/Not Afraid

Tonight is the night Tonight is the night

A blood moon is rising Put all this behind us

One spire left to climb Won't run from the fight

My pride's on the line, yeah I'm not 'fraid of dying

The following lines from the 2nd version (Not afraid! Not afraid! // No, I'm not afraid!! NO!) line up neatly with the start of the Unleashed section.

0:35 Unleashed/Peerless

Bear my claws, bear my fangs

My heart's racing, it's the thrill of the fight

As a run, and I howl, at the moon (I know)

I've the strength to defeat any foe I see
(Overlapping and more instrumental than lyrical and +1 syllable makes this closer to the instrumental version in Peerless)

0:47 Ride the Rhythm

Get down, turn it up

Take it off, have some fun

Break out, try your luck

Don't stop 'til the morning comes

Rough-house, stand your ground

Fisticuffs, get your fix

Showdown, final round

Free-for-all, this is it!

0:58 It's Showtime!/Unleashed

In my thirst for battle, there I see it, sets my heart to racing

In my thirst for battle, there I feel it, sets my soul to blazing

Repeats under Bee my Honey

In my thirst for battle, there I see it, sets my heart to racing

In my thirst for battle, there I feel it, sets my soul to blazing

It's Showtime! doesn't have lyrics so insert the first crowd chanting here (no claps or stomps)

1:10 Bee My Honey

I'll be your queen bee Honey B. Lovely

I'll be your one and only champion

I'll be your full time royal (worship me)

Love me again

Until the end

1:22 Back to the Drawing Board

Ring-a-roses

Palette full of pain and poison

On your toes, yeah

Keepin' you guessin'. What?

Ring-a-roses

Heart is skippin', mind is trippin'

This tune is all over Sugar Riot's theme, even where its not the lyrics follow the same cadence. This is the best match.

1:34 Sinister

I'm Sinister, under your skin, in lace and leather

Sinister, don't you know who I am? I'll make it better

1:46 The Mirror

The side of me that I wanna be

Riding free, extreme

Oh baby can't you see

Cut the leash so I can breathe

And now in me I can believe

2:10 The Tyrant

Hear the people clamor, calling my name

Chattel so enamored, blind to their pain

Every hope they harbour, mine to obtain

As the liege, now make way

Honor won by glory, blood in the sand

Strength, the only justice, worthy of man

Try to overcome me, but in the end

You will kneel, I will stand
(This last line is a bit funkier)

2:34 Give It All

There ain't no going back

No going back

No going back

No

What's light's left here inside

I'll suffocate

If that's what it takes, oh

And those who look to cast me aside

or turn their backs and leave me to die

I've made up my mind, now my heart's demanding

I'm ready to fight til there's one left standing

Tonight, lightning'll strike, thunder will fall (and) You're gonna give it all
(More instrumental than lyrical and sounds closer to the previous two lines)

Notes:

Where there are multiple lyrics to the same tune I have presented both side by side.

There are multiple layers here as some songs (It's Showtime!, Burning Souls, A Risky Bet, Peerless) are instrumental versions of others (Give it All, A Risky Bet, Not Afraid, Unleashed). I've commented where I've noticed this and attempted to discern the "validity" of whether the motif is lyrical or not.

I have attempted to discern exactly which version of a song each line is, or if it is new or all of them.

Improvements welcome.
