I think its funny that, assuming you go with the Ul'dah start, and ignore the dreams; it could be said that the inciting incident that would inevitably propell a would be dime a dozen adventurer into becoming the Warrior of Light was... doing a old potato a favor by delivering some pretzels to his men.
