I'm someone who watches a crapton of WWE and old TNA, and seeing a pro wrestling raid series in my favorite game immediately made me excited. I feel like Square would most likely be referencing Japanese pro wrestling, seeing as that's most likely what the writers were exposed to, but I don't have too much experience with it so I can't point out too many. Are there any fans of Japanese wrestling here who can enlighten me?
I've only managed to spot a few references myself:
I'm also thinking Howling Blade's appearance and ring attire could be a reference to Cody Rhodes but I sincerely doubt that one. Judging by the 7.4 poster having a highlander with tribal tattoos present we could also be getting a fighter referencing Samoan wrestlers like The Rock or Roman Reigns. Anyone think of any other references?

I've only managed to spot a few references myself:
- Feral Souls are an obvious allegory for steroids, performance enhancers that kill their user over time. In that sense, I believe the overarching storyline is referencing the WWE's steroid scandal, with the cult-like devotion to the shadowy president, and his cruel attempts to hide psychonekrosis a stand-in for Vince McMahon (the latter part I'm still unsure of and we'll know for certain once we get part 3 of the raids)
- The Brute Bomber is Hulk Hogan. During his brief stint in Japan, Hogan used a crooked arm lariat as his signature move, just like BB, and it was even called the Axe Bomber. Connecting this with my first point, BB remaining fiercely loyal to the president in the face of public scrutiny and shooting up a ton of feral souls to maintain his dominance is a dead ringer for Hogan and McMahon's relationship.
- Eutrope, Yaana, and Neyuni could be referencing the Triple Tails, a former indie stable composed of Mio Shirai, Io Shirai (Iyo Sky in WWE) and Kana (Asuka in WWE). The three Arcadion fighters live in the Tritails gym, a dead ringer for the IRL faction name, and the Shirai sisters' surname translates to "purple thunder", potentially connecting Wicked Thunder's aesthetics to them. One could go a step further and compare Eutrope and Yaana's relationship to Asuka and Iyo's in WWE, though I'm pretty sure the two of them weren't feuding when Arcadion was being written.
